I love animals, I personally would never be able to hurt an animal or test on one. But I have to realize that some things have to be tested on animals, its really hard to think about, but the REALLY IMPORTANT stuff does i think needs to be tested on animals.

From what I read this relates to the lecture yesterday because she was talking about how she uses mice in research and catches a lot of heat for it. I only read so far in the article and I saw that they feel they are "the lightening rods for extremists," which reminds me of how she conveyed ideas to us so we would listen. I can understand how they would feel like that because it is pretty much true. People are always looking for something to (pardon my english) bitch about and this would be one of those things. Although I am not for it. I also noticed that she didn't mention getting threats and such to her, but I think it would be interesting to know if she ever has.

Thats crazy how people target their homes. It does relate to the lecture from yesterday because the lady giving hte speech talked about how she used mice, and that if she didn't use them she wouldn't be able to do any type of research. I think its wrong that they do that to animals because they are like humans too, especially dogs.

I think it depends on what beliefs or values that some people have.I mean if you look back in you know that people live 100% percent through anilmals.Everyone/thing knew its place in life.
Although there was a time when peopled ate frieuts and vegatables only.I still believe that their is so much animal cruelty out here.Mainly because we as people in general want to know to much. Some things should just be left as a mistery I mean we didn't know all of these befor so why do we need to know them now.

Im not really sure how I feel about this situation. It really doesn't bother me at all. I do completely understand how someone could get very upset by this. Some animals I feel different about. Like for example I have no problem going hunting and shooting a goose or pheasnt. But when it comes to a deer I just cant bring myself to kill it. I think animal testing is ok as long as it is done in a humane way.
