Think about a flim that identifies with you the most. What is it? When did you see this film, and how has it changed your look on the world? Also, think of character in this film and what do you have in common with them. If you dont have anything in common with a character, what is the character like?

I would say that I identify with the movie Sweet November. I saw this film in 2006, and it spoke volumes to me. This movie helped me to see how a person wants to be remembered. Her immortality was so important to her. The way that she wanted him to remember her and what they shared.
She had a certain type of cancer that was killing her. She choose to go away from her family to live the last days of her life free. Free from the medication, and constant obsevation of her family and friends.
We are very similiar in the way that we want people to see us.It's very important for us to show case our strengths at all times.Even around the one's that we love the most.
She's very outgoing and outspoken. She just lives her life with no one's judgements. I love this about her because so many people live for what others think.I'm one of the people who could care less what others think. I live this life for me and only me.

Pay it Forward is one of the many movies that have changed my views on the world. The last time i have seen it was maybe a month ago. I really don't have anything in common with the main character in the movie (Haley Joel Osmen). Haley plays a young boy who lives in Vegas with his alcoholic mother. One day he is given a homework assignment, it's how they could/would change the community. He comes up with pay it forward. How it works is you have do something nice for three people and then those three people have to "pay it forward" to another three people and so on and so forth, creating a huge chain.
The movie made me realize that maybe, just maybe if everyone tried to be nice to every we could have a "perfect" community. Everyone living together, helping eachother with out judging them. It's a fantasy world but if everyone tried it could be possible.

The film is Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind. I saw this film a few years ago, then bought it to watch it over and over. This film changed the way I look at relationships and how we treat one another in them. It also changed how I perceive arguements. I feel I have the most in common with the 'Clementine,' because she was the opposite of what Joel (the main character) expected. They both tried to erase their memories, then fell in love again by some messed up destiny. They both ended up forgiving one another, then the movie just continues, kind of like everyday life. The character Clementine is very assertive and kind of like the antagonist. I feel I can be like this, even if I don't try. It's a blessing and a curse.

American History X is a film that changed my look on the world. It shows that racism is still alive and well. Before I watched this film I was always aware about racism and knew that it was wrong. Once i saw American History X it made me realize more what people go through and the horrible things people do to other races. I think people don't realize how bad it really is for some people and try to just look past it. I think this movie opened a lot of peoples eyes and maybe made people change the way the use to think. I think that it is a film everyone can learn from and should see.

Colton: American History X is a great movie. I totally agree that it makes you realize that racism is still out there. Another great movie that you may want to see some day is This is England. It is also about racism, and skinheads. But theres also S.H.A.R.P's( skinheads agaisnt racial punishment) in the movie that try to prevent racism it's a very interesting movie i suggest seeing it.

One film that I still watch regularly to this day is Hoodlum. This film tells the story of Elsworth "bumpy" Johnson. Bumpy Johnson was a black man who built his criminal organization to rival the biggest and strongest in N.Y. Bosses such as Dutch Schultz, and Lucky Luciano saw johnson as competition and tried to sabotage and destroy his business many times but was never succesful. Along with putting money back in to his community, he also provided jobs for blacks during prohibition.
Amongst the crooked cops, and blatant racism, the black community Johnson came from had nothing, and hw saw this, and tried his hardest to change it the fastest way he could. He believed in fighting with the mind, and if all else fails fight physically.

I don't think there is a movie that identifies with me. Movies, at least all the ones I've seen, have characters who do something or are something. I'm not anything. They don't make movies about lives like mine. Nor do they make characters like me. I'm too one dimensional. I don't identify with movies because I don't make the decisions that the character would. Most characters makes this life changing decision that alters the rest of their life. I've never made such decsion. I don't change.

American history x is anothe one of my favorites for the simp0le fact that it disproves so many stereo types of the typical skinhead racist bitch. It shows that people can be reformed and everyone can learn to love.

Poetic Justice is a movie mostly about violence and everyday life. I don't identify myself with none of the characters due to the fact I don't deal with everday violence or male vs. female type of conflict. The film relates to everyday life in the world. I kind of relate to Justice(Janet Jackson) because she writes poems and expresses her self on paper, I express my self in dance. I actually last seen the movie yesterday.
