When it comes to priorities, do you believe you have your priorities in order? And if you think you do, are you working to the best of your abilities to achieve these goals?
I know I have my priorities in order. I took a huge risk in leaving a full time job, and my family to come to this school. Before my decision I had no intentions of going to college or anything. My goals are to graduate from this money-sucking beast before it consumes every last dime in my family tree. So I guess I am working extremely hard to achieve these goals because they are the only goals I have really.
I also think I have my priorities in order. School is my number one priority right now and I am doing my best to succeed. I have been doing good on balancing school and partying. That was the one thing i was kind of worried about. In high school i was more worried about where the party was at then how my grades were. As long as i pass bridge program I am confident that I will not have any problems during the actual school year.
I knew I always wanted to go to college. It was always expected in my family. Then I didn't want to go to college because I thought I would have to go to an IV leauge school like the rest of my family. Which would never happen for me. I started looking at schools like Full Sail and then I found Columbia. It's the only school I want to go to (and the only one I applied to), so if I don't have priorities straight and don't get in then I probably won't do anything else. I've been working really hard for what I want, because I don't want to go anywhere else.
Priorities are things that have to be thouroughly thought about and these priorities have to be expressed in your daily life.I would say that I don't have my proities in order, but I do at the same time.I could be more organized, and more task oriented.
I don't have any priorities, at least not long term anyway. I live most of my life day by day. I make plans for the day and they can sometimes stretch throughout the week, but I'm pretty loose. That comes from bad experiences I've had in life. It seems whenever I plan something out and prioritize it ends up blowing up in my face.
I also have a tendency to change my mind a lot. How I feel now is not how I might feel two weeks later or even in two hours later. So I don't plan things out too far ahead because I don't like to invest myself too much into anything.
Priorities, for me, are lofty. I know I want to do a lot of things but it seems like I never know the steps to get there. Instead of priorities, I am always concerned with/thinking about the process of getting to where I want to get. Like Nick, I change my mind a lot too. I want to get my phd in Munich, but I know I need to know German (a little) before that can happen. That seems like my goal, not my priority. What's the difference between a goal and a priority?
I think that acheiving goals takes time, and it depends on how bad you want to achieve this goal. I know that some of my goals can't be achieve over a period of ten years. its up to how committed you are.
I still think it's confusing because you need to get things done to get to a goal. So, my priorities are the things I value? Right? Like family, education, and art?

I know I have my priorities in order. This is all I wanted to do is dance. I found something no matter what college I went to, I was gon find a way to dance. I struggle trying to get in and if you want something so bad you would risk everything. i was suppose to had bought me a car this summer but I had to make a choice to send the money for my dorm or have a car. I want the experience of living in the dorm so yea my priorities is straight. i would strive to do better and become a better dancer and advance my skills in everything thats thrown in my face.

Risks seem to go hand in had with reaching goals sometimes. How do you decide if a risk is "worth it"?

I think that priorities is more of what you have to get done and goals are more what you would like to get done...
