This book really goes in depth of how life in the ghetto in Chicago is like. It might be a little hard to read because its written by two kids but its still a great book. It shows how and african american kid in the projects views the world and how they see the government and cops as the enemy. Cops are suppose to protect and serve but in their eyes there just there waiting to catch them doign something wrong so they can take them to jail. With the government they see it as nothing to do with them, they have their own government in their in environment since they can't trust our goverenment. They live by the street law.

Do you think that, even within this smaller subculture, there are even smaller groups?
