product

What do you think about a product like this?  Is this a gimmick?  Would you use it?  Does it relate to our obsession with beauty?

The beauty industry, by the way, makes more profit than any other industry.  Interesting or surprising?  Is this an "American" issue or a global issue?  Is this contemporary?

I feel like this is a huge gimmick. I don't know who would believe something such as that, but it's almost obserd to me. People are just out to get money off of anyone gullible enough to spend it all on such a product. I feel this is only a problem in America though, only americans seem to put all this work into getting rid of something we all have had, or have. It's pretty rediculous.

Do you know that most health products that claim to lose weight (like fen phen)are not allowed in US stores, but are sold abroad without a problem? The beauty industry makes more money in Western Europe than anywhere else. Does this change your thinking about it being an American condition?

I'm sure that this thing does release ions that could help your skin but the thing is how well does it work? I think that it is just trying to get us to spend money on something we don't need. I don't think that the Mp3 player alone could cure acne. Im sure there is a lot more too it. Its just a sales pitch to make you think you are killing two birds with one stone. I think we are just going too overboard on electronics and trying to make everything into one little device.

I think that people are running out of things to do, so they are making just about anything that will grab peoples attention. I personally wouldn't buy it, thats why they have creams and other things for acne.

Oh no! Running out of things to do? What do you mean by that? Are we? There's so much art, so many books to read. And sports to play outside. Do you think we want more complicated things to do?

Most products you see will be looked as if it could work. you read it and it gives you a list of how it is worked and the outcome of the product. It might wow you but you have to realize that its a total gimmick. most expensive stuff don't even work well but the more you pay the better. That's like for beauty, you buy to look a certain way, you buy foundation that would make you look wonderful but could also break you out. It's a total issue in america. Why can't it be changed? why do we overlook the price more so as the product?

A gimmick is an understatement, anyone who actually would believe that shit is lost. This shows how stupid people in the corporate advertising world are, and view us to be. When things like this happen,it further shows how far people will go to sellthe product.

How many products have you bought that have become obsolete b/c of new tech or that you just don't use?

It's not the people that are running out of things to do, its the business industry that i am referring to. They are trying to make anything possible that they think people will buy. I feel that they are making things to easy for humans and we are getting lazy, because technology does a lot of things for us already.
